Prince & Princess Party

Discovering Identity and Purpose in Christ — a printable program for the church, for parents, and for anyone who wants to host this gathering.

What this is

A lot of children grow up unsure who they are in Christ, and why God put them here. This Prince & Princess Party is designed to help girls and boys hear that they belong to Jesus — and that they were born for God's purpose. The first gathering is on 1 Peter 2:9.

One evening is a beginning. The hope is that they grow confident in Christ: they worship Him, love Him, and live as a witness for Him. Parents, family, and the church keep speaking that over them long after the night is over.

Who, when, and where

Host girls and boys in age groups: 5 to 6, 7 to 8, 9 to 13, and 14 and older. Adults are welcome too. Meet twice a year. A handful of children is enough; a larger group is welcome. Hold it at church, in a hall, at a community center, or in a home.

Two gatherings

Plan two gatherings a year. Start with these two. You can add other teaching later.

After each gathering, check in with the parents. Ask them to keep encouraging the children in their identity, their purpose, and a pure life — body and soul.

Body and soul

The Lord cares about their body and their soul. In every gathering, teach that in words that fit their age. Talk about good touch and bad touch, and about being wise with media and with people.

How to use this program

Start here for the whole program. Then open the girls' guide or the boys' guide for the volunteer run sheet, the 2-hour schedule, and the sample letters. Print the guide for the gathering you are hosting.
